This is the cs_siege map from Counter-Strike 1.0, complete with sniper tower at CT spawn, and working driveable APC. The map was fun as hostage rescue; however, it was very unbalanced, and most of the outside was wasted because T's never had time to leave their indoor base before they were surrounded. The author of the map ( N0TH1NG ) is unavailable because sadly he passed away. I did NOT decompile or mess with the BSP at all - the map is his creation entirely. I just shifted some things around, as follows:
- removed hostages and hostage rescue zones
- added two bombsites: bridge at CT and underground near elevator bottom
- added a large bombsite indicator sprite at each bombsite
- moved T spawns out to garage so they don't get trapped in base
- added spawns for up to 32 players
- added small easter egg banner
As a result, the CT's are on the defensive, trying to protect the upper site with snipers in the tower, and rushing to the lower site because the T's can get there just as fast. The map is now very fast paced and well balanced. There are many opportunities for sniping above-ground, and below ground is all close-quarters combat with grenades.
